The Colorado Search and Rescue BoardFor State Assistance in Search and Rescue EmergenciesRequest the SAR Duty Coordinator The Colorado Search and Rescue Board is a Colorado not-for-profit corporation that provides a point of contact for search and rescue matters on a state level. The board works closely with the State Office of Emergency Management to fulfill several of OEM's statutory responsibilities regarding SAR. The CSRB maintains a roster of SAR resources throughout Colorado, and provides a Colorado Search and Rescue Coordinator, who is available 24 hours a day to assist local authorities in locating, and using additional or specialized resources. More specifically the Colorado Search and Rescue Board provides:

CSRB SAR Management Team
The CSRB has developed criteria to recognize individuals qualified to serve as Search and Rescue Incident Commander,
Plans Section Chief, Operations Section Chief, Logistics Section Chief or Communications Unit
Leader. These are individuals that could be requested by CSRB coordinators to fill roles in mutual-aid incidents
at the request of the local authority.
These criteria are being released now for comment, giving everyone the chance to make known their opinion
of them, before they are implemented. Send your comments
